Modern Space Music tells all !!
Major Tom's Story...with thanks to Wikipedia

Major Tom was almost the first to land on the moon. He was beaten by astronauts from a European duchy by less than a minute. The resulting humiliation for his home country, the United States of America, purportedly led JFK to fake his own death.
The tragedy was compounded on his return to space for another attempt at a Moon visit, when his Apollo capsule was lost in space .His last words were "we have a problem." Though his spaceship still seemed to know which way to go, he never broadcast again.
Perhaps out of some remorse for depriving him of his triumph, Gloriana XII, Grand Duchess, paid for the construction of an antenna that to this day broadcasts on loop, "Ground Control to Major Tom: Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong. Can you hear me Major Tom?" It is on the same band as several rock stations, and in appropriate atmospheric conditions sometimes will be picked up by a radio tuned to them instead of the actual music broadcast, causing much confusion.
For example, the true lyrics to a song by David Bowie, written after a prophetic dream, warning us of the approach of a space oddity that will destroy the Earth as soon as next year, have never been heard, and we are all probably going to die as a result. Bowie vehemently denies this to this day and has nothing but scorn for Major Tom calling him a fear monger and leftist leaning galactic gnome.
A rumor told by some is that Major Tom briefly ran a fast food joint on and around Venus. While he had tremendous success in his Earth restaurant, the venture on the sister sphere was doomed due to the planet's low population, Major Tom, facing financial ruin, is said to have topped himself. But we never knew for sure until now. However... has saved the day by doing a 1 week Novena on the planet Altuus and his life has changed. He is now very quietly assuming the role as Food & Beverage Director for the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds plus he is opening a new restaurant in San Pedro Square Market in San Jose called Lou's Beach Shack PLUS he is keyboardist for Syndicate of Sound.
